置霜, Oku-shimo, means "Deep/Settled Frost." It must be hyphenated according to ICNCP guidelines. Note that the kanji character used by Nakajima/Yano is archaic and can no longer be generated without a Japanese Keyboard. Okushimo is a vase-shaped green palmatum. Its leaf lobes curl upward forming a tapered tube. Okushimo retains its narrow vase shape at maturity and is suitable for small spaces. It has beautiful gold fall color. (The pepper and salt leaf) (DSN)
