Tani gawa dake (Esveld) 谷川岳, Tanigawa-dake, means "Mount Tanigawa." It is a spectacular 1977 m peak, known for foliage viewing and access by funicular. Many climb in the funicular and then descend the paths on foot. There is also a Shinto Tanigawa Shrine. (ED)
