山錦, Yama-nishiki, means "Mountain Brocade." Introduced in the US as Snow Peak. (ED)

Yama nishiki has outstanding white, pink, and red variegation on the second-year wood. New growth is a bright green. The foliage is like Hikasa yama but much brighter and the plant is more vigorous. Fall color is red. (Changeable Mountain) (DSN)
