瀧ノ尾, Taki-no-o, most likely means "Waterfall at the Bottom of the Slope." Although 尾 is usually taken as "tail", that meaning seems unlikely here. Rather, this may describe a locale where the maple was selected, or even a morphological characteristic, such as trailing growth from the lower area of the plant.
