Yama-kage (Esveld) -- Although DSN introduced it as Yama kagi, that is a mistranslation of Mountain Shadow (shadow=kage, kagi=key)

Yama kage is a Don Schmidt Nursery, Inc. selection of Acer japonicum. This japonicum has large grape-like leaves, which unlike other japonicums, are less likely to burn or turn leathery in the heat of summer. . The fall color is an outstanding yellow, orange and red. It is an upright grower that is as wide as it is tall to 20' (Mountain shadows) (DSN)
