(Kotoito komachi, for Dick van der Maat) It is a curious name, while Ono no Komachi, the great poet, was so famed for her beauty that "Komachi" came to mean "beauty" in the vernacular, "Beautiful Koto Strings", or "Ono no Komachi's Koto Strings" is difficult to parse. Normally "Komachi", a name, would be capitalized. (ED)
