ICNCP Name: 'Koyuki'
Formerly 'Koyuki'

Japanese Maple Classification:
Reticulatum Group
Hardiness Zone (for guidance only):

Ko yuki (dvandermaat, DSN). We have no recorded source for this cultivar, nor is the translation of the rōmaji "Little Snowflake" correct. Koyuki, 小雪, means "Light Snow", the word for Snowflake is completely different. Therefore it seems reasonable to conclude that "Snowflake Maple" is an invented marketing term, as is the name, and it is of American origin (ED)
Koyuki is a Reticulatum Group form of palmatum with leaves deeply divided and indented. The yellow white spring growth has a distinctive green venation. Summer leaves are almost white while retaining the green venation. Fall's color is bright orange and red. (Little Snowflake) (DSN, as Ko yuki)
