恭仁の里, Kuni-no-sato, means "Kuni Village." 恭仁京, Kuni-kyō, was the capital from 740 to 744 CE. No doubt this name refers to that historical location, now Kizugawa, Kyoto Prefecture. (ED)

Red-brown in Spring, and deep Red in Summer, with fall color of yellow. The leaves are amoenum shaped. (ED)
