Sango-kaku(Hilliers Manual 2014), 珊瑚閣, Sango-kaku, means "Coral Tower." The Hiragana さんごかく from 1882 determines the rōmaji is "sango" and not "sangō." (ED)

Sango kaku is the famous coral bark maple. The leaves are a bright lime green with excellent yellow through red fall color. Sango kaku is more vase-shaped than Beni kawa. It is a tree for all four seasons of the year. (Coral Tower) (DSN)
