Seki mori (Esveld) Sekimori (Vertrees), 関守, Seki-mori, means "Border Guard" directly. It evokes a tree marking the boundary of a garden or property. (ED)

Sekimori is a green mounding laceleaf. Although similar in appearance, it is a deeper green and more strongly cascading than Virdis. Its leaves are also slightly coarser upon close examination. The fall color of Sekimori is a pleasant yellow and orange. (Guard at the checkpoint.) (DSN)
