高見山, Takami-yama, means "Mount Takami" or very literally "High-View Mountain," and possibly references the 1,248 m peak in the Daiko Mountains, famous for the shapes of frost on winter trees. Another possibility would be the much smaller Mount Takami in Onomichi, Hiroshima, with its beautiful ocean and island views. Whatever the source, this maple seems to have disappeared from the trade.
