(Tendoh, Esveld). 天童, Tendō, means "Cherub" or perhaps more generally "A God Appearing in Child-like Form." It is a single indivisible compound word and concept, and should not be hyphenated. Tendō is also a well known city in Yamagata Prefecture. (ED)

Tendo is an × amoenum with attractive twisted leaves. Spring foliage is a cream yellow edged with red. Mature form and size is unknown. Fall color is orange and red. (DSN, as Kaede mitsuba)
