The International Code of Nomenclature for Cultivated Plants (ICNCP) establishes the rules and regulations for proper naming of plants. When different, the cultivar database displays the correct(ed) ICNCP name, rather than its previous cultivar name.

registered trademark cultivar name. It is unclear whether Vertrees wrote the name with hyphens or not, but it appears that way in the 3rd and 4th eds. of Japanese Maples. Note that he has the possessive particle backwards: "Tennyo-no-hoshi" means "Star of the Angel" (lit. celestial maiden or nymph), not "Angel of the Stars." In Japanese, the possessive particle gives possession to the preceeding word, not the following word. (ED)
Tennyo-no-hoshi is a formal green upright with cream variegation of the leaf margins. It is a similar tree to Ao kanzanshi, but with perhaps less variegation and more twisted leaves. Fall color is pink and red. (Angel of the stars) (DSN, as Tennyo no hoshi)
