Toshi is a formal growing A. palmatum to about 14', taller than wide. Spring color is a purple red which fades to a reddish green. Fall color is a deep red. (DSN) [Note: although Toshi is given as a synonym for Azuma murasaki by MOW, the DSN description differs and so is given here, regardless of the status as an accepted synonym. ED]
