大和羽衣, Yamato-ha-goromo means "Japan Ha-goromo", indeed it is a contemporary seedling from the well-known Ha-goromo. 羽衣, Ha-goromo is the feathered Angel's dress (widely Celestial Robe), and is explicitly hyphenated in Kenkyusha 4th ed. See Ha-goromo for more information. Yamato (大和) is the classical name for Japan, connecting to the central Yamato Province and meaning "Great Harmony." This symbology is connected to the earlier mythological name for Japan, Akitsushima (秋津島), which means "Dragonfly Island." (ED) (Yamato Hagaromo, Esveld)
