帝釈天, Taishaku-ten, may be taken to mean "Taishaku" (the Japanese name for Indra) directly, but also means "The Heavenly Realm of Taishaku." Taishaku is Indra, King of the Devas in Buddhist cosmology. The Deva realms are called Svarga, as 天 may be translated in this context, so arriving at the direct "Heavenly Realm" of Indra specifically. The famous 1629 CE Diakyō-ji in Tōkyō is also known as Shibama Taishakuten, 柴又帝釈天, houses the main image of Indra. (ED)
