紅葉青枝垂, kōyō-ao-shidare as Yano writes it, might also be 枝垂れ (shidare in a longer form) but is often shortened this way in horticultural context. The name translates well to "Autumn Foliage Weeping from Green Branches." Nakajima lists the maple 青枝垂れ紅葉, Ao-shidare-kōyō, with the same introduction date, and they are surely the same maple. Because of distribution by the famous Tsukasa Maples, and introduction into the West under this name, the ubiquity of Kōyō-ao-shidare gives it ICNCP precedence over Nakajima's name, even with the sa.me date. Kôyô ao shidare is a green Dissectum Group laceleaf with bright orange spring growth. Mature foliage is a deep green. Fall color is a bright red. (DSN, as Koyo ao shidare)
