Sunday October 27

We have arranged for a private garden visit in Port Townsend. After this tour, you are on your own to continue exploring other gardens, or the peninsula's many beautiful parks and waterfront views. Options you may wish to consider include:

Roughly 45 minutes south of Port Townsend is Chimacum Woods Species Rhododendron Nursery and Garden in Port Ludlow. Their gardens are free and open by appointment between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm; call Bob in advance at (206) 383-2713 to confirm a time.

Roughly 1 hour south and east of Port Townsend (or 25 minutes from Chimacum Woods) is the famous Heronswood Garden near Kingston. Entry fee is $10 and they will be open on Sunday between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.

In Kingston, you can catch a ferry back to Edmonds, or continue south to Bremerton if you prefer to catch a ferry back to Seattle.

Again, the intent is to allow you to join this road trip whenever you are able. All transportation, meals, lodging, and public garden fees will be your responsibility. Please RSVP to Dan using the email button below so he can give the gardens a rough idea of our group size:
