Members Dan and Jeanne Everts held an amazing summer potluck social in their beautiful garden... complete with an impromptu grafting demonstration!

In the words of Maple Society member Larinda, "this event will be one for the record books!"

Aside from the positively scrumptious weather (especially for mid August!) and the delicious treats brought by everyone, this fun filled afternoon of delightful conversation included an entertaining and informative display of know how from our most talented grafters Bart Eykemans and Russ Smith. It was also great to have Dave Helms in the audience to share and compare his conifer grafting experience. Between the three of them, there was a wealth of information for anyone curious about maple grafting and the unique differences each person possesses for the craft.

We welcomed several first time visitors (and hopefully new members) including Francis Gan, Katie Herold, Doug Keough, and Andrew and Jessica Voitik. All in all there were 31 in attendance.
A special thank you to Russ Smith with Blue Frog who sold 45 of his 1 gallon maples.
Thank you, Dan and Jeanne Everts for opening your home and garden for this event. Your garden is a reflection of your dedication to the love of maples and conifers!
